Plan for Heathrow Airport’s third runway is ruled illegal

The Government's decision to build a third runway at Heathrow Airport, near London, has been ruled illegal. The decision was a victory for environmental groups, councils
and the Mayor of London that had brought the challenge to court.
Supporters of the runway say it would boost the whole UK economy because businesses would be ableto deliver more goods.
Climate change protesters are happy with the decision but supporters of the runway think it's a bad idea.
Luxembourg

Public transport made free

On 29th February, Luxembourg became the first country to make public transport free. The government say this would reduce traffic. Most people travel in a car and only 19% of journeys to work are by train. Passengers will still have to pay if they want to travel in First Class.
