ANIMAL NEWS: Long Journey For Walrus

On Monday 14th March, a giant Arctic walrus has been found on the coast of Ireland. This was a very rare sight. Kevin Flannery, a marine biologist, thinks that the male walrus fell asleep on an iceberg that carried him to Ireland. That must have been a very long dream! It travelled over 1600 miles! The last time a walrus has been sighted in Ireland was in 1897.
A local 5-year-old girl saw and told her father. They then told the Irish Dolphins and Whales Group.
