When I went on holiday to South Africa we saw some African penguins. have a look at this picture:

5 Facts about African penguins:
1. The favourite foods of African penguins include herrings, sardines, pilchards, anchovies and mackerel. When the fish is scarce, they will hunt shellfish and squid.
2. In average, the African penguins can hold the breath for 2.5 minutes. They can dive underwater up to 130 meter depth. In average, they will dive at the depth at 30 meters.
3. The weight of these animals is around 2.4 till 3.6 kilogram. The male African penguins are bigger compared to the female ones. In average, their height is 60 cm.
4. The African penguins are very unique because they choose to live in the warm climate rather than selecting the snow and ice environment.
5. The African penguin averages about 60 cm (2 ft.) tall and weighs up to 3.6 kg (8 lb.). Their short tails and flipper-like wings that help them navigate in the water, while their webbed feet help propel them.
Most of them live in a beach called Boulders beach. Below is a picture of the beach, have a look:

Boulders beach is a place just outside of Cape Town. Lots of tourists come to see the African Penguins and some other animals.
