Paralympics Update: The first days

The Paralympics have started! They had an amazing opening ceremony yesterday and the sports have already started!
The opening ceremony was breathtaking, with fireworks, music and dancing.

The flame has been lighted and the games have started!

Sarah Storey wins TEAM GB'S FIRST GOLD MEDAL in the C5 3,000m individual pursuit!

Dame Sarah Storey wins Great Britain's first gold in an extraordinary race between her and her team-mate Crystal Lane-White who got a silver medal. Her gold added to the score of 6 medals for Team GB so far.
Tully Kearney and Reece Dunn win silvers in Swimming

Tully Kearney and Reece Dunn won silvers in swimming. Tully Kearney won it in a nail-biting S5 200m freestyle final. She nearly got gold but was overtaken by defending champion Zhang Li of China. Reece Dunn, who won it in the Men's 100m butterfly, said his race was tough.
